I stayed in the DMZ hotel with my boyfriend for 2 nights. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is good and the room excellent. I would highly recommend the DMZ if you fancy a treat! They include breakfast, fluffy towels and free internet and tv/mini bar in your room...oh yeah the shower is great too. Enjoy!

The place to get your pizza and pasta cravings in order. This was opened by the same folks who brought you DMZ bar. The interior is small and cozy, with some tables near the window overlooking their small backyard garden. The pizzas have meat, cheese, and a crust, but they are nothing to write home about.

A Hue institution since the early '90s, this corner pub recently moved several hundred yards east on riverside Le Loi Street. The central pool table and a soundtrack of Dylan, Guns N' Roses, and Oasis attract a large, mixed crowd, which grows more local after midnight. The bar strives for ambience with wooden tables and folding chairs, as well as colorful silken lamp shades—an effect somewhat undercut by heavily grafittied walls and a TV tuned to Premier League soccer matches. However, the beer is cold and cheap ($1.25 for imported Tiger), while the DMZ daiquiri (Vietnamese rum, lime juice, sweet syrup) is lethal.

Open daily 7 am to 3 am.

The DMZ is the old Vietnam war Demilitarized Zone. This was in front of a restaurant/bar here in Hue. All of the shops and restaurants are decorating for Christmas. Pretty strange, given the climate and culture here!

"We spent a great time in this bar. It isn't like you would just sit down and have a drink. Their choice of music animates you to dance and sing along. And since the drinks are cheap, you will soon find some more people to dance and sing with you."

- Try "Little Italy" around the corner which has an extensive range of delicious pizzas and pastas

- Pretty good Italian-inspried dishes at this reasonably-priced restaurant. The menu features the usual pizzas, pastas, salads etc. together with a few Vietnamese and even Indian selections.

- We are beginning to find out way around the local eateries.  I love pho (say "fuh"), the beef noodle soup that may be Viet Nam’s most famous dish.  And – we found a great place for it.  When we need something more familiar, Little Italy has respectable pizzas.

- The morning included a walk by the river, then we caved in to the craving of some more familiar food - a lovely pizza supreme at "Little Italy Restaurant".

- Serves the best pizza and pasta in town. Draws a largely caucasian crowd.
