Are you thinking of a nice restaurant and a brilliant bar in a myriad of tourist spots now in the ancient Hue city? The Little Italy restaurant and DMZ bar are incredible places that bring you the best during your stay in this beautiful city.
It's really easy to look for brief information on these two places, Little Italy restaurant and DMZ bar respectively, addressed in tourist websites, guidebooks or widely-published tourist booklets in Vietnam. It would take you by more surprise in discovering that the owner of two locations is a simple and open-minded guy at the age of 30 - Le Xuan Phuong.
Born in a poor village of Quang Tri province, Phuong grew up, plunging into the quest of life with his empty hands. He soon revealed his strong aspiration and determination that he would create a meaningful contribution to the development of his beloved homeland - a land with dry south-west winds and hot white sand dunes around the year.
Coming to Hue in his twenties, Phuong became a smart student at English department, Hue University of Sciences. English is often regarded as a tool for international communication; amazingly, Phuong knew how to integrate this popular language into his career, obtaining the firm steps in his challenging life. Also, in his spare time he worked as a receptionist at different hotels, a waiter at many restaurants in Hue, etc. in an effort to gather working experiences for his own.
After graduation, Phuong grounded on his experiences, desires and his given supports as well from domestics and international friends working in Hue city at that time, he decided to open a restaurant imbued with Italian-style taste - Little Italy. The business start of Little Italy was derived from his savings of 1000 USD and the financial loan from his friends.
The original Italian-style taste in Hue linked with the enthusiastic and friendly serving manners of the entire staff; all have helped Little Italy lure a great number of tourists so far. Right after all restaurant activities went into stable and effective development, Phuong found himself eager to explore new things in the tourism industry. He was luckily selected as head of Mai Linh tourist branch office in Hue after many short-listed interviews held by Mai Linh Tourism Corporation (MTC) - a large company with head office in Ho Chi Minh city and 22 branch offices throughout Vietnam. It was really a good chance for Phuong to be a member of MTC where he could set up new relationships with his co-workers and other tourist partners. Bright future smiled at him once again, Phuong then became the new manager of a famous bar with the reputation of more than 10 years - DMZ bar.
The initial successes of such a very strong-hearted person like Phuong will never stop at broadening his business environment through a restaurant or a bar. Lots of innovative business ideas are pending for Phuong's carrying on. His family members together with his business staff will be the long-lasting motives encouraging Phuong to reach more accomplishments not only dedicated to the tourist development of Hue city, the homeland of Quang Tri but this beautiful country of a abundant culture - Vietnam.
